Neat bird. Good head angle and I like his tiny feet. There may be a slight halo around the bird.

You made a great composition. A great and interesting subject. Recently I bought Arthur Morris's Digital Basics pdf. I have learned that the shadows highlight adjustment can make a lot of difference in a photo such as this. I think you could use SH to simulate a little bit of fill light in the shadows. Still, this is a great shot of a tough bird to get close to. :)

Hi Marc, good overall exposure on the PK, and nice and sharp. Thats a fairly flimsy perch he's sitting on.

Lovely pose of beautiful KF , I liked the way KF is perched and nice BG & HA, There is something gone wrong near the tail of bird in PP which is minor and can be corrected easily. Excellent image

    Thanks Stuart & Harshad.
Harshad, not quite sure what you mean? Have only used selective USM on the KF.
I think it's only tail feather fluff?

Exposure looks spot on and I like the pose on a very nice perch. Splendid image.

    Marc,

Great capture I like the way he seems to be clinging on for dear life, was it windy.

One more thing the perch looks strange do you have any idea what it was?

It was just a dried reed stalk Ken , but I can understand that it looks like a staged wooden dowel.
