    Default Winter Wonderland

I took this during a walk in the woods the other day.

    Applied a blur overlay
Added faint light rays and falling snow
    Applied a slight orton effect
Used two white fill layers to lighten the center portion and add more of a misty feel
Converted to B&W using channel mixer and then toned the image using hue/saturation
    Added a slight vignette

    Thanks for looking :)

Christopher, I like the composition w/ the slanted trees. The processing work looks great. The white fill layers and the snow give it a wonderful winter effect.

Beautiful scene, Christopher. My only comment would be to experiment a bit to see if you couldn't get it to look less flat with the snow and light layers...maybe mask off more of them in the FG or BG or let less light through on the sides than the middle. It's very nicely done as is but I think you could get more of a 3-D feel if you played with those layers and their opacity a bit more. Just a thought...

Nice effect Christopher, the outer trees frame the pic nicely and invite you in to this wintery scene.

Chris, you've created a very dreamy feeling to a beautiful original image.
