Default lens plate for Sigma tele zoom

I'm trying to source an Arca-Swiss lens plate to mount the Sigma 150-500mm zoom lens to a Mongoose 3.5 head.

Could anyone tell me which lens plate will work. Wimberley specs out the P-50 lens plate for this lens but as the lens mounts sideways on the Mongoose I'm worried about the plate twisting on the foot.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    John,

Does the foot on your Sigma have two or more threaded holes for the plate attachment? If it does the P 50 will work and won't twist.

John, I use RRS MPR-1B with Sigma 50-500 for Mongoose 3.5a. I just checked RRS catalog; they are suggesting MPR-113 for Sigma 150-500.

Thanks guys. The foot in the lens has just one hole so there would have to be another way of preventing twisting. I'll look at the RRS plates!

I use the 50-500 lens (similar size/weight/design I believe) on a sidemount gimbal, single screw mount, and have yet to have the lens twist... not while shooting, hiking with the rig over my shoulder, has been a non-issue.

I've had that issue before and a friend told me to make a gasket out of thin cardboard. Problem solved never twisted again.
