    1600 ISO
    SB900 with better beamer @ 1/4 power
    Monopod

    Shot from boat - in early morning light. Tour boat that does early morning trips up the daintree river - next time I will hire the boat out myself so that I can find these guys as they go about catching their dinner and get some nice shots.

    Comments welcome - HAP might get me - HA is a little off ;)

    OK, the head angle isn't perfect but it's a very nice image nonetheless. Nice smooth background. Great colors on the bird. Kingfishers are so cute; I've yet to see one....

    Hi Richard - Yes - but not in Far North Queensland :( no more of these guys again until October :)
