    This bird was quite a bit underexposed, used S/H which I don't love, selectively. 500mm f4 and 1.4x, fill flash but not enough, F8, ISO 400, cropped

    Does look good Jeff !!!! Sweet bg for the little guy Is this one of the houses half way to the back? Confused with the bg Love it !!!

    ......... can't wait for them to show up in our area again !!!!

    He looks good! A lot of detail was extracted from the underexposure. I thought S/H was terrific when I first got it.....but I think over time I decided that I often didn't like the look it gave. However, used sparingly it works well....like in this image.
