    Default Snowy Owls?

Has anyone seen or know if the Snowy Owls have returned to Fire Island/Jones Beach?

No, I only read a report that an immature Snowy Owl was at Milford Point, CT yesterday.

You don't get off that easy, you have to walk the beach like the rest of us for this quest... it is an right of passage.

Yeah dude, you're screwed, I had to learn the hard way too...

I took a random trip to the beach took a walk down the water in blistery 20 mph winds and freezing conditions...

So - take a walk - you'll see something you like even if its not a snowy owl...

Been there a few times already. I don't mind the trekking up and down the beach and thru the dunes to find it (I know it doenst check in with the ranger every morning and let him know where its going to hang out that day), but no sense looking for what's not there.
