    Exposure, sharpness, eye contact and BG look good. Too bad we can't see the entire tail. Was it difficult to recover the whites in post-processing? Your selection of EC seems quite high for this species.

    The whites actually didn't need much work. I've noticed the 7D tends to very slightly underexpose in situations like this, I don't know if its something I'm doing incorrectly, but I never had that with the 50D, if anything that body tends to slightly overexpose. I've had the 7D two weeks and have hardly ever had to shoot on the negative side.

    I shot this image literally two minutes after I left you at the end of the jetty.

    I'm not familiar with the 7D but maybe you could experiment with different metering settings.

    Good looking species, and I like the detail, colours and markings on him.
