I photographed this Cape Vulture last year coming in to a vulture restaurant near the Kruger National Park. I love the look of serious intent on his face:) The misty mountain in the background was in the shade, and the bird was sidelit. This created quite a dramatic setting (at least IMO;)) Comments welcome as always!

It is indeed a funny pose. I had to look at it twice to be sure what was happening!
To my eye, the head/neck is a little dark, and I did try a version with a very slight curve adjustment upward, point centered about 1/3 of the way along the curve line (from the shadow end). I liked the result, but you get to make the final call of course.
This works well with the warm yellowish of the bird against the cool bluish BG, Chris. I like the way the line in the BG mirrors the presumed motion of the vulture. I'm wondering about a little more room on the left - with the BG it would be an easy canvas addition if no more on the original.
Super pose Chris, love it. was this captured close to Hoedspruit with the mountains in the BG?
The feathers look a tad pink on my screen, but could be my laptop screen that may not be the best.
