    Taken in Eastern Ontario this past Saturday in late afternoon.

    30D; 500mm; Handheld; In hind-sight; should have increased the ISO to enable smaller f-stop.

    I don't believe I have ever seen a lower angle on one of these, Ted!
    Very nice pose, I would like to see it a little bit brighter.

    What was the owl doing there? Pre take-off? :) I like the unique pose and soft light. It could go a tad brighter for my taste. Have you tried CCW rotation? I'm wondering if it would improve it or not. I certainly like it as is, though.

    Owls also get in that position when the answer calls. I like the low angle and light.

    Yup! Looks like body surfing to me. Nits covered but, wow, that light is great.
