    Increased saturation on original
    Burned in a few shadows for stronger silhouette
    Duped layer
    Xero Soft Mood filter @ 98% Haziness
    Normal layer blend mode @ 75%
    Flatten, 4 px black canvas, save for web(quality less than 50% here).
    Simple but effective. The slight vignette is part of the Xero filter

    I love the silhouette. Nice pop in the colors. The haziness adds alot to create a mood. Nicely done and thanks for the step by step:) HNY!

    Nice mood created on this one Dave. Thanks for the step by step it really helps us all to learn. I think the vignetting really adds a nice touch too. HNY 2 U 2 :)

    Beautiful mood and you picked the perfect steps to take this up from good to great, Dave. I especially like that the center area of the sun isn't so blown that it looks white hot - you did a wonderful job controlling the saturation of colors as well.

    I love what you achieved here.. this was great to start with, but the final image is simply gorgeous. Such a well seen and taken comp :)
