This is a DAP Chalk photo that I have posted before. I tried out the Reflection tutorial link that Christopher posted. It's fun to play with.

I added a Transform step to the reflection layer and "squished" it up to add more of the tree in the reflected strip. I also did a Filter > Distort > Ripple to the reflection layer. I chose the black background at about 60% opacity.

Hey Patti, I like this. Squished up and all. The reflection looks nice and this was one of my favorites of yours.

Patti, a beautiful painting. I really like the reflection and the vivid colors:)

I love the technique and the final effect but I reall wish I could see more of the reflection at the bottom - it feels more 3/4 top - 1/4 reflection and I'd love to see it more 2/3 top - 1/3 reflection (if that makes sense!)

    Thanks much to all.

Julie, Thanks for the suggestion. I think it does look better with more reflection... But I still like the plain old original version best without any reflection.

    Fun playing though.

great dynamic and bold colors Patti.. I like both versions, they're both very moody :)
