    Default Yellow stars 2

Some months ago I wrote in one of my posts "A white stork (Ciconia ciconia) in the very first morning light, surrounded by a miriad of yellow flowers, shinning like yellow stars in a dark green background". I entitled that image "Yellow stars" (http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=34337) and I would like to use exactly the same sentence and title for this post, an image from the same series. Light angle is different, the stork is not the same bird, light and shooting time is slightly different but composition is very similar and, in both cases, the magic of that fantastic day and light, is exactly the same for me.

I choosed this image to say goodbye to 2009 and to whish all of you and your families the best luck for the coming 2010 :)

Near Doñana National Park, Huelva (Spain) in an unforgetable spring day of march

    Nikon D300 AFS Nikkor 500VR + 1,4XTC ISO640 f5,6 1/250 handheldfrom the car, manual exposure

PS. BTW, I would prefer a clear view of the red legs, without the overlaping of the yellow flowers but... who cares about that in a day like this one ;-)

I remember the other image, the yellow flowers really make it special. I only wish they wouldn't partially block the stork's leg.

Beautiful image. I like that you have shown a large area of it's environment. And the flowers do look like yellow Stars.
    Happy New Year

Toda una bellleza, gracias por compartirla Juan!

Very nice bird and. Love the yellow flowers here, I believe the work so fine in the composition.
