    I like the action in this photo and the detail in the bird. The only thing I would like to see is the full circle of the ripples in the water, it is just cropped off on the left side. Very nice image.

    It is close to full frame and the ripples on the left side were cut off in the original. Thanks for the comment Hilary.

    I don't recall seeing a cormorant looking so duck-like before with this wing flap:). Looks like the light was on the harsh side, creating a somewhat contrasty situation. I also wish for a lower angle, but realize it is not always possible. Good timing on your part, and good comp. At 180mm you had a very cooperative subject!
