    I had a real good look at this bird as it dropped out of a group of 12 and landed in a tree not far from my balcony in Santiago, Dom. Rep.

    What an interesting looking bird. I like the HA and the lghting on its head. To my eye the bright leaves could be toned down and the birds back lightened some.

    A nice look-back pose you got! Nice perch, but I agree the yellows could be toned down a bit. Too bad about the OOF foliage and the shadows cast across the bird. I like the bit of iridescence showing on the plumage.

    Nice capture. Not easy to find these birds and get this close. Anis are black. I think the wb needs adjusting to make the bird more black and the sky blue rather than mauve.
