    Default Eagle in the snow

Last week I went back to former Eastern Germany in the hope to photograph White Tailes Eagles in winter conditions. Well those conditions were there. Minus 17 degrees on my first day is, I think, ccccold.
It starts snowing in the night and did not stop for two whole days. Perfect!
On the second day I was lucky to meet this adult eagle who landed just five meters before my hide. What a moment, what a bird, what a day and what an end of a year!
    More pictures on my website.

    Nikon D700; Sigma 300-800 mm op 500 mm; iso 800; f6.3; 1/200 sec; +2/3 on manual focus

Strange because I do see it.
But I have placed it once again so maybe it works now.

It's odd....I see it sometimes and then I don't. I copied the properties and pasted it in my browser and I can see it fine. Beautiful look back and the snow adds a lot to the image. Nice and sharp as well. What an unusual and pleasing color to this Eagle.

I don't see the image, either, but the thumbnail works, go figure. Did you change the link?

Great winter setting, sharpness and angle. Where in East Germany did you find this bird, somewhere in the north?
