Coming back about 5.00pm in the Mara we took a detour through an old dried out lugger that Leopards have been reported to be seen hunting. Well, the reports we true as we sighted an adolescent Leopard about 18 months old just walking through the dry bed. Typical, as the light was beginning to fade.

Unphased by the land rover slowing making it's way through the tall grass the Leopard continued his/her way, occasionally stopping, listening and then moving on. The hearing is so acute, every sound analyzed, just in case it could be a meal. Suddenly the pace picked up and the Leopard began to bounced & pounce around in the tall grass, like some big, overgrown, domestic cat. Obviously some small rodent had caught it's attention.

After half an hour or so, the Leopard gave up, but gave a superb show of acrobatics in that short period. The video clips were better though :D

All I wanted was to capture the intensity & eye contact, hopefully adding to the drama.

Ken, it was around where Bella the 'Beeb' cat frequented;)

    hi Steve

All the technicals are handled well.
I understand what you were trying to capture .But because of head angle and grass we do not get enough eye contact to get that intensity you wanted to convey. If its head was slightly raised your pano crop would have worked very well.

Interesting and unique perspective, and the crop works well here.
