Great white plumage exposure and bird eyeballing you.
Would have preferred to have the bill clear the back. Pretty legs and not use to seeing them with "clean" legs(usually muddy along the coast).
    Clean features.

    Hi Gary,

I absolutely love this shot. Wonderfully clear, soft even exposure, with a great pose and perch.
Not sure what processing you've done but it has a lovely painterly look to it somehow.

I'd try a little different crop to place the bird more to the right, with a bit less on the bottom maybe. And I long to see the background gradient move toward bluesky at the top.
*Edited to include repost (my apologies that this crop removes Gary's signature) :

As is tho, a really beautiful image I say,

I agree that this is a beautiful image of the bird and the detail and quality of the feathers is exceptional.

I love this one Gary! Kenn's crop may have improved it some I believe, moving the bird to the right. The only thing I would change in the original is to clone that small branch pointing down in the bottom center of the frame.

This guy was posing for you no doubt!

    Great post!
    Colin
