This Anhinga (as corrected by Bill Dix...thanks by the way) was photographed from a boat on the Tarcoles River in Costa Rica this past April with Greg Basco and Doug Brown. It posed nicely for us as we drifted by. C & C appreciated.

Hi Kristin - cool bird, like the pose, Good HA and eye contact and exposure looks good.
Might try and make the eye a tad more visible, also feels a little tight at the bottom. The white area in the BG that intersects the body from the LHS is a tad distracting - could probably get rid of it with some QM'S if you were so inclined.
Like it.
Good show :)
Kristin - This is a very nice shot of an Anhinga. The rear view with the look-back pose is a great way to show their lovely back plumage (actually the upper wing coverts) that are a signature field mark. Lance has covered the crop, eye, and BG. Nicely done!
Hi Kristin,
I like your capture and image. Mr. Peters covered all of the techs. and gave you sound advise...I like the turn head pose, with the fine feather details, the eye can be lightened just a tad and selective sharpened...good show...I like it...looking forward to your next one...
