Just after take-off from a roadside post near my home recently. Taken from my car, hand-held. D300, 300 f/4 AF-S + 1.4TC. IS 1000, 1/1600, f7.1, EV +0.3, NR applied. One of the very few sunny days we have had here recently.

    Happy New Year, BPN-ers!

I am surprised by the amount of blur and lack of underwing detail/d-o-f in the near wing but all in all, you did your job: nicely framed, good EXP, and sharp on the eye.

I like the head angle and eye contact. The bird must have been close considering the wing blur. I wish we could see a bit more of the far wing. Happy New Year!
