I finally made it out after a month with this broken arm... I found this wilson snipe sitting in the brush just about 15 to 20 feet away, I managed to get about 4 shots of him before he took flight.

Hi Bernie - sorry to hear about your arm - hope you are on the road to recovery.
You may have a problem with the HAP with this one :) The head is angled AWAY from the camera, a bit of a head turn towards you would have been good.
More room required at the bottom for the feet / Virtual feet - the light angle looks like it might not be the best either - But hey after a mont with a broken arm i'd be dying to get out there too.
    Keep em coming :)

Bernie, get better soon, nice one. Agree with Lance's points and was wondering was light at the back or side? Looks like maybe sun angle was not helping you too, anyway keep em coming.

    Hi Bernie,
Its good that you are out and on to a speedy recovery. Mr. Peters covered the techs. and gave you sound advise. The head angle and eye contact....well...:D lets just say that the little guy was looking at something that caught his attention in his natural habitat...:) All the best with that arm, get well soon...
