    Default Snowy juvi

From the Salton Sea, one of a large number of juvenile snowies that were there in November.

This one was quite a challenge, as I had to add canvas to the right and the bottom. I had just barely gotten the whole bird in the bottom of the frame, so I had to select the bird, cut it out of the background, then use content aware scaling to make the water bigger. Then I went back and cloned water into the hole left by the bird, unselected the original background and made the final result.

Nicely done Kerry! Great light, wing position, eye contact, and sharpness. The whites look good on my monitor. Thanks for the walk-through on post processing. Perhaps a little more canvas on the right.

    Sweet image, love the 200/ISO.

Great white feather detail, fast on the shutter, right lens for this shot.

Hi Kerry... I really like the wing position you've captured here, and hearing your process for adding canvas, etc was great to read about. Thanks for sharing.

This is a sweet shot, the wing position makes this a special capture, sharpness is very good and whites exposed well. TFS

Hi Kerry, one of my favorite Egrets. I don't think you could have hit the light more perfect. Wonderful image. Congradulations!

Beautiful image. The white color of the Egret is perfect. (I tend to overexpose my Egret shots)
I am very impressed with your PP results.

Kerry - Perfect wing position, well captured. Light is nice and exposure captured the whites nicely. BG is lovely; good work on the PP.

Kerry....getting both good wing position and good head angle is not easy. Awesome job. Exposure is perfect as well. And loved that BG. Nothing to suggest...a very well executed shot.
