I really like some of the before and after images posted..:D

This is what I had in mind when I suggested it..:)
Using cloning tools and PP skills..save an image that otherwise would normally go to the trash.
This is one I posted before in BPN..some of you will recognize it..

    Paul,

Oh my gosh! That's incredible. I have a bunch like the one on the left. I can't imagine ever getting good enough to do that. Wow!

If you remember, about how long did that take?

Paul, Great idea for the theme. I will try to stay close to your idea for the theme on my next post. I like the pp work you did. Nice clean-up! Details look great.:)

Paul, that is over the top. Please share your techniques for an amazing clean-up/repair job.

Moderators, the idea of posting before and after is an over the top idea and not just for this forum. Seeing what someone has started with and how they accomplished the finished product is a tremendous teaching tool. Thanks for doing this and please do more!!
    Cheers, Jay

Jay really not much to share....I just start removing things from background using cloning tool...I leave the area surrounding bird an perch for last. The closer I get to bird and perch..the smaller my cloning tool gets, the larger the magnification gets. After removal of all limbs I work on the bird, selectively sharpening, coloring.

This image took about 1 hour to complete but I've been perfecting this for a long time
This doesn't work with all images but its saved some of the better ones.
Below is one I did in about 20 mins

    Nice image and application Paul.

While it is very nice, you could leave some of the larger brances in the image to fill the open area a little. (see attached for some limbs that I might have left on the branch, as they would be easy to crop around.) However, I do like what you did and ...

    Your image ... your vision.
