    From "The Bosque", of course... Taken in the very early light of morning, just as there was enough light to get down to ISO 400. ;) Captured on my day with Jim Neiger - thanks Jim!

    Selectively sharpened the bird and applied NR to the bg.

    50D, EF400mm f/5.6L
    Manual mode, f/5.6@1/640 ISO 400 WB 5100K
    AI Servo autofocus, hh no flash

    Excellent composition Kerry,
    I like the forward down position of the wings showing the sharp details. The color rendition is superb. You have a good head angle and sharp eye contact. The background compliments your bird quite well. I like this very much...well done Sir. :):cool:

    Kerry, looks like you had nice light that morning. When we were there it was very overcast with snow on and off. We also had no real blastoff either. Oh well, another year... Congrats on a great image......
