Memories of Summer

Photo of a buttercup from this past summer. I applied an orton effect, a texture overlay from a rock photo of mine, channel mixer to desaturate the colors some, and a photo filter layer. I also added a vignette and lightened the center of the image a bit. Any comments and suggestions would be most appreciated!

Christopher, I love what you have done. I don't know what each step did exactly, but the end result is beautiful. I am really enjoying these before and afters. Mostly what I am learning is that some of the treatments are very subtle, but they are so effective as is this one.

Now I have to go read up on Texture Overlays and desaturating using Channel Mixer. Don't have a clue about that stuff.

Christopher, I really like the soft color tones and painterly feel to this. The comp. is fantastic. The vignette looks subtle.
