This image was photographed at sunset in Page, Arizona just north of Stud Horse Point with my Canon 5D MKII. The sediment is deposited on the rock from water as it runs down the mountain. ISO 800, f/16.0. 1/80 sec, EF70-200, f/2.8L IS USM, 70mm, Evaluative SMetering, Auto Exposure, Auto WB, No Flash. Comments Welcome.

Wonderful lighting and such a soothing color palette, Richard! Very interesting, great detail. I wonder about taking just a bit, maybe a half inch or less, off the top? Doing so seems to focus my eye more on the yellowish area & on down; otherwise my eye keeps going to that top strip....?

Love the soft colors and the detail in this, looks like lace shawls, how very cool!

Tones and textures are fantastic, nice use of soft light - well done.

Even 1/16 inch off the top improves this one. Patterns and tones are sweet as is the image design.
