Image captured last year at Fort de Soto. This one amused me. I love his?her? "beard". I know the fish is blown, but what can you do with a silver fish reflecting the sun?

I was using f/11 because I was working with two birds cavorting and courting while fishing in the lagoon and I needed the DOF.

    Susan:

A really fun pose here. Reds are so much fun.
Personally, I think the exposure was a good compromise. Any less, and you would start to lose detail under the wings.

From a comp. standpoint, I might consider adding a sliver to the right. The intense head on stare works pretty well centered, but I still might try a slightly different crop.

    Cheers

wonderful catch and I think the exposure is fine...the reflecting fish does not bother me personally. I like the composition as you have it but adding a little space to the right as Randy said may add a little something as well.
