I think my trouble with this kind of bird is that I just don't know where to start. My bird book is not arranged in look alike order or anything close to it and I find myself paging seemingly endlessly through the book looking for something that seems to be the same, not much fun. Anyway this image was taken a couple of years ago in a marsh in Central Illinois. I have no idea at this point how big it was but not very. I apologise for the lack of information, but I just don't remember. If you can't come up with it I will understand.
