    Hi Nicki,
I'm loving your sanderling series and can see them printed on white, parchment-like paper?
    Happy New Year!

    Hi Katie,
    Great to hear from you!
Yes, I have printed this series on heavy duty cotton rag fine art paper and shall be showing them in January. I am taking part in a group exhibition here in Gloucestershire - should be fun!!
Happy New Year to you and the family.

Fantastic job on this image Nicki. I couldn´t resist to place the bird in a landscape composition and near the upper left corner to show an alternative to the original composition :)

This image is a delicacy for the eyes, very well done!

Hi Juan and thank you so much for your very kind comments and your suggestion. Actually, I did originally crop this as you have reposted, but thought that I would give the square crop a try as well. But I do prefer your version...:) :)
    Best regards,
    Nicki

I'm loving your sanderling images, Nicki! Very nice pose and high-key look. Both crops look good, but I actually prefer the square crop. It just seems to suit the image somehow IMO. If anything, I might move the bird just a tiny bit to the left. Well done.

Nicki, you've really hit the jackpot with these images...they are just so totally charming to view. I do like the intensity of Juan's a bit better only because I feel I can make out the right side of the head a little better against the darker wing. Both are incredible though and both have a wonderful feel to them.
