    Default Indian Jackal

Taken early one morning in Pench National Park, India (Nov '09). This park doesn't get as much publicity compared to the other big parks in India, but imo, it's equally beautiful and there's plenty of wildlife to see and photograph. It's shared by two adjoining states of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

Even better, this place is just 50 miles from my hometown (Nagpur) in India.

Pench was the inspiration for Kipling's Jungle Book. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pench_National_Park

Jackals almost always give action, they are never still, I like these creatures, they are very expressive and playful.

Very nice Kiran, great light and good detail.

Would like to see a little less on the rhs and a tad more on the L, so the animal can trot into frame. Would also be tempted to tone down the bright green foliage in the BG and just under the the left leg.

    Appreciate the intro info to;)

Hey Kiran - This is a geat-looking image. The light is wonderful and the detail is pro-quality as usual. Great shot of an animal on the move.
