    I've seen a few more eagles lately here in northern Utah, and this one was plenty close that I can easily say 500mm was too much reach (a problem I'm not used to)... I've cropped this left and right and slightly along the bottom to come up with this composition, as neither wing made the frame... I'd be curious to hear others thoughts.

    Powerful image. While I miss the wings, the force of the intimacy of this image makes it compelling. Love the detail, talons with fish, and tail fan. Only wish for a ha more toward the camera.

    I like what you did with the crop...I also like the concentration on the Eagles face (4th year bird I presume) and the meal is an added bonus. HA doesn't bother me one bit..I like the fact it's concentrating on sticking the landing and not you. :D
