“Final Approach”
This fellow was banking and coming on his final approach to his nest near the marina at Flamingo, in Florida Everglades National Park. He was painted with a Nikon D300s, using a Nikkor AF-S 300mm f/4D - IF-ED , with a Nikkor 1.7 T/C.

I like the diaganol positioning which as a nice dynamic feel to the image. There's enough space on the right to give the bird someplase to "move into." The eye is nice and sharp and engages the viewer. Good detail and exposure. The background looks a bit blocky/"digitalized" for some reason, but that may be this computer (at work). Really nice image that I'm really enjoying.
Looks like a Red Tail coming for you Gus, watch-out!
Great framing, composition is spot-on and techs are solid agree with Bob's comment regarding BG, might just be compression when these files are reduced as well - nice one brother!
