I used Fractalius Lines and then a slight Xero Lithograph effect.

    Comments and suggestions always welcome:)

Cheryl, I love the way this came out. The feet and legs look great. Love the BG color. I'm wondering if lightening the eye area just a bit would help. Very cool pose.

Love that the background color matches the feet and those Fract feathers.

What a lovely pop of color against those snowy whites! I also thought about lightening the eye area but the shadow seems so natural I could go either way. I really like the effects you chose for this one - it really makes everything POP!

I like it would suggest lightening the shadowed side of the face. It would still be a shadowed area but would better reveal the lores. As I am totally new to this stuff, I ask, is the original photo yours? (I would think yes but want to be sure.) If yes, where was it created?

Artie - the original is mine - it was taken at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm this year. It's one of my favorite
places especially since I don't get to travel much.

Thanks Cheryl. I was right on both counts :) I used to spend a lot of time there but in cutting back on IPTs I have not been much in the past two seasons. Gotta get back this year.

Cheryl, as I look at this image again I'd like to also suggest maybe a gradual change in color from the orange at the top to the yellow near his feet (in the BG). I bet if you blended that a bit from the yellow to orange it would really look seamless instead of being a "horizon line" in the BG. Either way, it's a keeper!
