Amazing woodie. Super sharp and beautiful detail and color!
Really nice WP Harshad!
Love the colors of this guy and the soft BG. This guy reminds me of our lineated WP.
superb image buddy, if anything, maybe just a little tight.
aaha, beautiful shot and that specialized tounge makes the picture for me.
Excellent bird, you treated the shadows very nicely,
great job with the BG too. The tongue of course adds nicely to an
already fine image.
Excellent portrait.
Superb shot. Fantastic colors, nice dof and clear details. Love it.
cracking shot.

Unfortunately I have been seeing way too many "Great shot" and "I love this image" posts recently. At BPN we strive to provide honest critiques done gently. If you think that an image is great please let us know what it is about the image you love, what the strong points are, what makes it dramatic or interesting or pleasing.
Ofer, this is the second time that I have requested that you refrain from making great shot-type comments. Perhaps you missed my first request.
Respectfully.

I think this is a good image because it's an unusual species with interesting colors, the technical aspects are well executed. The bird extending it's tongue demonstrates some of it's behavoir, I suspect probing the tree for insects. The only thing I don't like is the right lower corner of the image, perhaps you could correct those light spots.
Harshad, Is this the exact same image that was posted previously?
