Hi Mirenchu, great idea and it works! With the turtle looking up and that beautiful sky, makes this work well. Love the low angle bg and the HDR effect. My thinking is that the foliage at the end of the pond needs to be slightly oof to match with that of the base image. Alternate would be to remove more of the base image and bring the bg to create a good DOF. I would also straighten the horizon. TFS.

Mirenchu, Indranil makes a good point about the DOF. Very cool looking image and I like the way the turtle appears to be looking up to the sky.

“ When you’re 18, you worry about what everybody is thinking of you. When you’re 40 you learn not to worry what others think. When you’re 60 you recognize that nobody’s been thinking about you at all. They’re worrying about themselves. ”

    This I just love!!!:D

Hi Mirenchu, I am in Denise's latter group :)

I am afraid that I need to be the executioner here but I will try to be gentle. The concept is a good one and I do like the sky. One of the major problems as Indranil pointed out is that the very much o-o-f area (right center) in front of the sharp bushes does not make visual sense at all. (In fact, that area looks as if it has been intentionally blurred...) His suggestion to level the horizon is also a good one.

My biggest problem is the near merge of the turtle's nose with the horizon. You could possibly have avoided that by placing the turtle a bit lower in the frame....

Thanks Denise. Apologies. My speed-skimming failed me :)

I really like the concept here, and with a bit of work I think this could be a much stronger comp. If it were mine, I'd soften all of the foilage with neatimage or other nr software, and add a bit of a ccw rotation. Very creative Mirenchu :)

Really good concept, Mirenchu! The two images go together well IMO, it just needs a little more work so that they blend together better.
