    Pose looks a little better, but there's some heavy duty PS work in the ULC. You've cloned out the tip of the beak. I'd have another look and then repost it.

    I love the type bird and the perch he's on, but as Doug mentioned, the ULC is fairly messed up. Why did you shoot at 1/2000 @ 5.6? You need at least F11 here I would say probably to get him all in focus. If you have opportunities for more of these kind of shots I can't wait to see them.

    Rob the image lacks a lot of details due to the processing job and the deep of field is seriously affected by the use of f5,6. Composition is a bit tight for my taste but I like the pose of the bird. Perhaps you can post a copy of the original file to see what can we do to help you with the processing of the image and to improve the result :)

    Many Thanks for the offer of help Juan. I got into trouble on this one, because I was in a hurry to go to a Christmas dinner with family and posted before it was time. I had tried something new on this take, such as, Manual, Spot AF on a very fast moving querry. Didn't work, will go back to Av, Matrix, AF.
