Wow! Flight photography does not get much better than this. Dam good image... Exposure control and details in the blacks superb. Tail spectacular, and even the feet hanging bheind add interest, I have never seen the little projections just inside the alula. Any clues anyone?

Excellent topside view, details and exposure control. I don't think I've seen this species before. Thanks for sharing.

Great shot, Stephen. Lovely light and the eye is lovely. The little projections are spurs. Also found on the Masked Plover (lapwing) or Spur-winged Plover in Australia and New Zealand.
