    Auto white balance
    AF-C, Dynamic, 9-points

    Cropped, curve, NR and sharpen.

The first out of 3 continuous shots that I shown quite a while ago. Focus seem to be more toward the wing and somewhat side lighting which gave the far wing under shadow. However I like the coming up pose and a chance to say merry Christmas and happy new year to you all :D

All comments and suggestions are welcome.

Wow, love that image. great eye contact and feather details! I really like how blurred your background is, yet you still see the movement in the water. The shadow on the far wing doesn't bother me, in fact I think it adds depth to the image. The only thing I am wondering about is the catch light seems rather harsh on my monitor.

The harsh catch light probably come from sharpening, probably a bit too much on the catch light, good catch Cheryl.

Lot's to like here, the f/8.0 gives nice DoF (no BG to blur) to help with focus point and love the colors. Gray BG against white bird, nice combination. Bird is positioned well in the frame. Like the feet showing as well.

Nice HA, eye and techs look solid, well done and Happy Holidays to you as well my friend.

Thanaboon - a handsome BIF capture. The detail and exposure in the near wing are lovely. Agree that this was probably the focus point (nearly impossible to keep it on the eye on a flying tern IMHO.) There is still some detail on the far underwing, so that doesn't bother me a lot; and I like the way the bird stands out against the grey BG. Well done! And have a Merry Christmas!

Thanaboon, I love the capture. The wing detail is awesome and I love the BG. Although, I'm not the bird expert, this is to me a great looking image. Congrats.

You nailed it, Thanaboon! Even the shadows enhance the image.

Sweet - very well done, Good HA , Eye contact, Catchlight, exposure is on the money.
If posted in Avian I think you might get some comments along the line of... A bit more seperation betweenthe head and the rear wing would be good.

    Personally - I like it -- A LOT!!!
