    Out shooting with Doug Brown last weekend -it only took me a week to get to the photo.
    Cropped and a little sharpening.

    Wigeon pond, Albuquerque.

    Canon markiV -I
    ISO 640 f/6.3 1/2500

    Canon 300 f/2.8 +1.4x

    Cool pose, sharpness, light and BG. Maybe a bit tight in the frame?

    You have a Mark IV or is this a Freudian slip? :)

    Killer pose and BKGR. And sharp. My only wish is that the bird were flying slightly towards you rather than slightly away.

    What's the consensus on next year's Operation Open Windows? I'd love to see you put in at least one more year... I would commit to being there with you. And working Something like September 12th...

    Artie, I believe we'll be there again next year. We are going to meet with Shawn next week, there are few details we would like to clean up (resolve) first. Lots of snow at the Bosque this week and cold.

    On a second look I see that the bird is actually angling toward you but the head and neck are turned away. Bad luck....
