    My first post! Taken earlier this year.
    Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/1000
    Av( Aperture Value ) 7.1
    ISO Speed 400
    600 mm + 1.4 (840 mm)

    I like the head angle and eye contact. The pose is quite unusual. I would remove the dust spot at the top and wish the darker area behind the head were not there. Maybe a bit more room at the bottom?

    Definetley a different pose for a GH. Great eye contact. I agree with Axel's comments.

    Completely agree with Axel's assessment. I don't think I have ever seen a heron of any type sitting low on a large branch like this. Very unique.

    I agree with the others and might also tone down the bright parts on the perch.

    Hummm, seems like I've seen this somewhere??? I agree with the
    CC above. Still a wonderful shot. Also Welcome to Bird Photographers.
    I think you'll find the CC here a lot more critical, but very helpful.

    Way cool pose and a nice angle to the subject. This one might merit some bill cleanup.
