Today it was the last time I have the time too shoot small birds. It was a little bite difficult because the light conditions change the whole time. But this was a nice result(I believe)

    iso 500 f8 tv 400 + 2/3 1md3 500mm and 1.4 ex

    Thanks for looking.

Beautiful image. I thing the coloring and sharpness of the bird are excellent. A good pose, I would have added a little on the left (if possible) The distant BG looks a little too blurred for my taste.

Since I am new to the site and first to comment on this image, I am curious to see other comments.

Hey Wiellen, "Merry Christmas" and a profitable new year to you and yours. I believe that I agree with Peters accesment of the out of focus. Great bird - well presented.

Very nice color and detail. The BG doesn't bother me at all

Nice low angle, warm light, and exposure. I actually think the BG could be a bit more blurred. I wish for a few degrees more of a head angle on the bird.

Nice looking bird. I like the brown layer in the BG, adds a nice complimentary splash of color to the bird and contrast with the snow.

I like the complimentary colours of bird and bg. BG does not bother me at all. Lots of nice detail and good dof. The only nit I have is the bit of snow covering the tip of tail, but hey, a very nice photo. Seeing the cmaera/lens info would have been interesting. Well done. Dave

Awesome shot! Perfect sharpness and details - very nice! If anything I would crop a bit off the top to get rid of about half of the brown area which is a bit distracting.

PS - would be nice to see the techs - camera model, lens, SS etc.
