Cyclamen sustain my need to grow flowers during the winter. They are the only flowers I can grow in my house.
Here, I applied 3 textures: "Texture Pink" by Mary Brooks Brown, with color change, "Champagne Dreams"by pareeerica, both free from flickr's Textures for Layers, and one of my own textures. I usually use Multiply as the blending mode, but for one of these (I can't remember which) I believe I used soft light, or something like that. I did some experiimenting and can't quite remember what I kept.
Original image taken indors, natural light, tripod, Nikon D300, Sigma 105 mm lens, f36 (relative), 1.3 sec., ISO 125.

Anita, I like your composition w/ the crossed stems at the corner-but not in the corner. Beautiful color tone and the overlays looks nicely done. A very pleasing image.

    Anita,

The colors in this image are so soft and beautiful. I like the subtle rounded background objects that remind me of leaves or petals. Agree about the composition - very balanced. Very nice creation!

Beautiful image, Anita! One of your best IMO :). The colors and comp are outstanding, and the textures add the perfect touch. Well done!

I just saw this on your website and loved it. What a beautiful cyclamen! You did a fantastic job with the overall "feel" of the image and the textured BG really makes it feel complete.
