This photo was taken in Plymouth, Connecticut while taking a short hike through the local woods. There was a Blue Heron flying in the area that I photographed with it's silhouette against the sunset but it was'nt the best angle for viewing the bird. The photo was taken w/ Nikon D80, Nikon 300mm lens, 1/800 Sec(to capture the flying Blue Heron) f/16, ISO 400 and tripod. Timing is everything!
Hi Rick I like the colors and exposure Good placement for the sun I like that the tree is sharp To work silhouettes need to be sharp and this is !!!
Sure would have been nice having the GBH around !!! I think the image might be even stronger without the bottom layer Not seeing enough to make a difference Like to see more or nothing !!!
Sorry that I missed this for several day. Nice work Rich! I like the bit of clouds at the bottom, so I wouldn't remove that. The GBH flying by would have been superb!
