Hi Scott Have the original and current model, they are ok but prefer to use the Lens Pen !!! Much cheaper and works. The one that Artie has a the store comes with detail directions and I think there is even a bundle with the sensor scope !!

Yes Scott Its the easiest and best device I've seen to date. All you need is the blower and fresh batteries !! The scope makes work easier since you can see the dust and don't have to make an image download to computer to check !!

I gave in and bought an arctic butterfly for an upcoming trip to Africa.

The reviews for the "higher end" $100+ / LED model were generally mediocre or bad (many with buyers remorse) and those for the SL700 were generally favorable.

The SL700 was $49 shipped on ebay (new), so that's what I went with.

I will just use a LED headlamp instead of the built in ($80) LED light on the more expensive model.

Regardless, the price is highway robbery for both models!

After investing in several cleaning methods, I agree with Alfred, the lens pen and sensor scope kit from Artie is hands down my favorite.

Make sure you use the LensPen SensorKlear, not the regular LensPen. :)

Having used several methods, now my favorites are the sensor scope and sensor clean from lenspen.
They work great and are easy to use.
