I used the DAP program and did a sketch of this Ruddy Turnstone. I didn't allow the program to go to far. I masked back in some details and hand painted a few more strokes. I liked that it looked like it was a rough sketch.

Very cool Denise. At first I thought you broke down and got the Fractalius program. I didn't know DAP could do this. I like it a lot! The orange and brown colors look great together and the way the bird is outlined really adds to the "rough sketch" look.

Thanks Patti. I used the pencil sketch in DAP. I didn't let it run the recommended time and I sketched in some empty spots. I guess I am wanting that Frac. program bad. I just bought a new laptop for my Christmas gift. So I don't know if I'll be able to treat myself to a new program just yet.:)

Hi Denise, this is done very well. I like your choice of subject and the pencil sketch has worked well here. What laptop did you get?

lovely effect Denise.. I like how you masked in enough details that add more definition and the colors are fantastic. I'm not familiar with DAP, but I really enjoy the results here alot. Well done! :)

I absolutely love the bird. It does look like a sketch. I am up in the air on the BKHR which looks a bit like pressed wood... Still, I like it but have no clue how to do this stuff.

Yeah, pressed wood. It's cheap. You can see what it looks like at Home Depot. Hey, I can only call them as I see them. I do need some OOTB private lessons. In fact, I could use some private lessons in other areas. :)
