    Default What kind of Hawk ?

    Came home this afternoon and while getting out of the car heard this scream close by and when I looked up at the light post just outside my home I saw this bird. Decided to try and see if I had enough time to get the camera, mount the lens and to my surprise he was still there. Don't know if it's a Red Shoulder Hawk or a Red Tailed Hawk. Maybe someone can ID for me.

    Nikon D3, Nikon 300mm 2.8 w/1.7tc @500mm, F4.8, 1/400, ISO 1600, Aperture Priority, Exposure Comp @+1,
    Hand held.

    Looks like an adult Coopers Hawk to me.

    Hey Oscar,
    I like the composition, image and capture with the high-key background...you have very good feather detail, and good color rendition...love that sharp eye with the intense look...good show...:cool:
