    Yesterday December 19 at Sacramento NWR in heavy fog:



    technical stuff

    Leica R8 with DMR digital back @ ISO 400
    Leitz 560mm f/6.8 Telyt-R
    shoulder stock & monopod
    heavy fog lighting
    about 1/180 sec @ f/6.8

    Lovely image of this bird. I would remove the reflections in the top half of the image....

    nice bird and reflection... the 3 blades reflection doesn't bother me but the partial reflection to their right at the top and also the tiny reflection along the left edge of the image can be cloned out I guess...

    I like the soft light, mood and raised tail. Another vote for removing the reflection in the upper left and the two extensions of the head. I would also tone down the chest.

    On my monitor, the whites look good, the soft light helped you here a lot.
    I agree with Axel re: cleaning up the reflections a bit.

    Nice to see some different gear being used. What is the resolution of that back?

    Lovely bird, nicely captured. Good BG and detail. I agree with earlier comments about a bit of cloning of reflections. I might also try to lighten the eye just a tad. But that's a small nit. Nicely done!

    Very nice reflection. I would crop it differently, but thats just personal preference. The whites are fine on my monitor as well.
