I really like the pose, perch, and the bird's expresssion.

The BG is a little distracting, and lightening the side of the head might make it easier to see. I think cropping a lot of the bright sky at the top would make it less distracting. But I love the bird's sharpness, colors, and look.:D

Agree with Casper's comments. I love the habitat Oscar, including the nest - very sweet and HH - great!

Nice composition, Oscar. Agree with Casper on the pose and perch. I like the intense look and the overall mood. Cropping the image to just below the highlighted bg may improve it further, IMHO. TFS.

Hi Oscar I like this one, great mood !!! Would fill in with PS the light areas .. this would have been killer with a little fill flash !!! Shark Valley can be great in the afternoon ...often overlooked !!!!

Like this a lot OZ - The BG works well with the subject, wood stork and wood and all. Love the nest and the HA and the direct eye contact.
Think AL is right some flash here would have been awesome.
    Good show :)

Fill flash appears to be the solution in this case Oscar; but hind site is twenty twenty...:) I like the composition, and capture. You have good color rendition and sharp details with a good head angle and eye contact. Would recommend on opening up the area around the eye just a tad more and give it an extra round of selective sharpening...would also burn the upper portion of the frame to tone down those whites, or crop 1/4 from the top. Congrats on the capture...

The head-turn and gaze into the camera is perfect. I do find the background a little bright. With masking, it wouldn't be hard
to pull this guy away from the background a bit.

Also need to clean up the mask a bit. Original background color is revealed between the legs, and some of the new BG color got onto the white feathers.
