This was from a very snowy, late spring afternoon in Antarctica- Neko Harbour to be exact. The image nicely conveys my memory of this amazing day.

I cropped a little off right and bottom. Contrast was adjusted in Curves using Linear contrast preset. Whites were calibrated in LAB colour to A, B = ±0.

    Hope you like it.

    John:

Strong feeling here of the environment this fellow has to survive in. Scary that this is a spring scene.

    Well exposed and composed.

thanks for showing. Makes me feel less cold as I blow out my driveway!:)

This really does not look a lot like spring. :) I like the wide crop and might increase the blacks and/or contrast a bit.

Hey John - a good example of when it's good to back off and show more of the environment. Great snow action. Is there something wrong with the bird's left eye? - something doesn't look right there.

Nothing wrong with the eye Dan. Notice how they are angled downwards and you are seeing the eye at a funny angle, almost side-on.

John great environmental image here. I'd love to get to Antarctica someday. Thanks for sharing.
