    Default Blue cow!

This is a female Nilgai (Nil, or Neel, as it is pronounced, is Hindi for 'blue', and Gai, is Hindi for 'cow'). The name literally means 'blue cow', and even though it is an antelope, and is a pest as far as farmers are concerned, it is not killed because Hindus regard cows as sacred! Only the male has horns, and is a greyish-blue in colour, while the female is as shown in the image. They are large antelope, measuring about 5 feet at the shoulder and weighing upto 230 kg.
    Species: Nilgai (Bosephalus tragocamelus)
    Location: Desert NP, Rajasthan, India
Equip: Canon 1D Mlll, Canon 500 f4 with 1.4 TC
    Specs: ISO 400, f 6.3, 1/2000s, beanbag on vehicle

Thank you for taking the time out to look, and for your comments/critiques

Not seen one of these for some time, I am intrigued by the relatively small head.

    Everything else has been said.
