An interesting capture of these ice patterns Mary, and the bright edges around the ice works well. IMO filling in the top left corner with more of the ice would strengthen this composition.

Hey Mary, nice contrast with the water, and good interesting patterns. A sight motion in the water adds a nice touch.

I really like the ice patterns. I wonder if a Horiz crop or vert crop would bring more attention to the ice and less to the black nothing that pulls your eyes to it as is.

    Robert....

Do you literally mean "black"? I see almost no black in that image. The background behind the ice is many shades of swirling brown.

The thing I hate the most about digital display....one can never be sure what someone else is looking at.

Everyone sees things differently, I guess, but I'm not feeling my eyes drawn away from the ice and towards the background. I do feel a bouncing between both equallu, which I like. Sort of yin-yang symbol-like. Is that what you mean?
